Registration

Before we can offer you a course, please meet in person to register at Johannes læringssenter, Rennesøygata 12. When you meet for registration, we will evaluate the best course alternative for you. It is therefore important for us to know more about:

Residence permit
Any documentation of Norwegian skills
Tuberculosis test results – if you come from a country that the Norwegian authorities require a test from. Folkehelseinstituttet keeps an updated list on which countries this concerns: See list here. The International Vaccination Office provides tuberculin testing. Phone: 51 91 33 33.

Monday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Tuesday 12 noon – 5 p.m.
Wednesday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Are you already registered?

Have you attended a course at Johannes before? Your situation may have changed and perhaps you have been practicing Norwegian a lot since the last time. Together, we will find a time for a new appointment and, in light of your new experience, find the right course and level for you.

Courses

Daytime

Johannes læringssenter offers many different Norwegian courses during daytime. They are taught by professional and experienced teachers on all levels, from beginner level A1 to advanced level B2. We also offer a complete introductory programme for immigrants with a right and obligation to complete one (this was enshrined in law on 1 September 2005). Ordinary courses start four times a year, August, October, January and April. For information, contact: dag@johannesls.no

Evening courses

For participants that do not have the opportunity to attend courses during daytime, we also offer evening classes, also combined with online studies. Norwegian language courses (evening and online) start four times a year, August, October, January and April. For information, contact: kveld@johannesls.no

Online courses

We offer a professional, high quality digital learning platform as a part of the evening classes. An important part of the online course is one-on-one counselling. Our participants tell us this is a constructive and fruitful way to learn. Online courses start every month. For labour immigrants it should be good to know that all activity in the online solution is logged and counted against the 300 compulsory hours. For information, contact: nett@johannesls.no

Social Studies Course

We also offer a 50 hour course in social studies in a language participants understand. The course is on Mondays at 12:15-14:45. Contact us at: samfunn@johannesls.no
